COOU Promotes 13 Academic Staff to the Ranks of Professors and Associate Professors
The Appointment and Promotion Committee of the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Anambra State in her 75th Meeting on Tuesday 21st November 2023 at the Senate Chambers of the University, promoted a total of 13 Academic Staff to the ranks of Professors and Associate Professors, respectively.

The meeting which was Chaired by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Greg Nwakoby, had in attendance, all Principal Officers of the University, Internal Members of the Governing Council, as well as the Anambra State Commissioner for Education who was ably represented by Barr. Maxwell Udechukwu.
Those promoted to the ranks of Professor include; - Dr. Azikiwe Chukwuemka and Dr. Clinton Chukwu were promoted to Professor of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, - Dr. Ifeanyi Ezenekwe was promoted to Professor of Mathematics, - Engr. Dr. Kingsley Ikebudu and Engr. Dr. John Iloh was promoted to the rank of Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering. Others include; - Dr. Ogochukwu Nwangene was promoted to Professor of Marketing, and - Dr. Chinedu Enweonye who was promoted to Professor of Igbo Linguistics.

Those promoted to the ranks of Associate Professors include; - Dr. Aselem Abonyi, Dr. Ann Akpunonu, and Dr. Ikenna Ibe, who were promoted to Associate Professors in Law, - Dr. Uchechukwu Enweani was promoted as an Associate Professor of Library Sciences, Also on the list were; - Dr. Ngozi Udoye and - Dr. Cornel Ujonwundu who were promoted to Associate Professor of Criminology and Security Studies and English Language respectively.
