Covenant University Celebrates Six New Chartered Accountants
Covenant University recently celebrated six undergraduate students from the Department of Accounting who have achieved Associate Chartered Accountant status by passing the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) examinations.
Covenant University proudly honors six undergraduate students from the Department of Accounting who have recently achieved Associate Chartered Accountant status by passing the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) examinations. This accomplishment, facilitated by the Covenant Professional Accountancy Center (C-PAC), highlights the students’ excellence and dedication.
The newly qualified Chartered Accountants—Ashilere Emmanuella Janet, Okoh Angel Ogochukwu, Adeleye Fred Oluwapelumi, Adams Favour Omozei, Ajirotutu Oluwademilade Oreoluwa, and Kalu-Uche Praise Nnaemeka—successfully completed the May 2024 Professional Examination while maintaining a CGPA of above 4.6.
At a special presentation event, Professor Francis Iyoha, Head of the Department of Accounting, introduced the students to the Vice-Chancellor, emphasizing their success as a result of both their hard work and divine grace. He acknowledged the support from the University Management, faculty, and colleagues, which was crucial to their achievement.
Ashilere Emmanuella Janet, speaking on behalf of the graduates, expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor and University Management for their support and highlighted the University’s resources, such as Wi-Fi and a conducive environment, as key factors in their success.

The Vice-Chancellor congratulated the new Chartered Accountants and the Department’s staff, recognizing their dedication. He acknowledged the difficulty of the ICAN examinations and praised the students for their determination. He urged them to remain humble, continue striving for success, and support others who may be struggling.
