DESCOEM Provost, Dr. Ugboduma Pays Courtesy Visit to DELSU VC, Prof. Asagba in Abraka

The Provost of Delta State College of Education, Mosogar (DESCOEM), Dr. Samuel Ogheneovo Ugboduma, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Professor Samuel Ogheneovo Asagba, on Wednesday, 6th August 2025.

Dr. Ugboduma, an alumnus of DELSU, was accompanied by members of his management team and was warmly received by the Vice-Chancellor and his team.

In his remarks, the Provost reflected on his time as a student at DELSU, describing the university as a place of academic excellence that significantly shaped his journey since 1989. He emphasized that the visit was aimed at strengthening the existing partnership between DESCOEM and DELSU, particularly regarding the affiliate degree programme.

Dr. Ugboduma also proposed the introduction of new academic programmes under the existing affiliation arrangement, noting that DESCOEM has consistently maintained high academic standards through its qualified staff and infrastructure. He reaffirmed the college’s commitment to upholding the values of academic excellence and mutual collaboration.

In response, Professor Asagba expressed appreciation for the visit and assured the Provost that DELSU values its partnership with DESCOEM. He welcomed the proposals and confirmed that they would be reviewed accordingly.
