Dr. Suleiman Balarabe Appointed Acting Vice-Chancellor as FCE Zaria Upgraded to University

The Federal Ministry of Education has announced the elevation of the Federal College of Education (FCE) Zaria to the status of Federal University of Education, Zaria. 

This significant transformation was communicated on Tuesday through a statement by Sani Lawal-Makarfi, Special Assistant to the newly appointed Acting Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Suleiman Balarabe.

The appointment of Dr. Balarabe as Acting Vice-Chancellor was formalized in a letter signed by Dr. Nasiru Sani-Gwarzo, Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education. In his letter, Dr. Sani-Gwarzo congratulated Dr. Balarabe and encouraged him to continue building on the institution's legacy of excellence.

Dr. Balarabe has a distinguished administrative background, having begun his career as the Head of the English Language Department. He has since held various leadership roles, including Dean of the School of Languages, Deputy Provost, and Provost of the former Federal College of Education, Zaria.
