Dr. Usman Abbas Sarkin-Pada Honored with Fellowship Award at APPON 2025 National Conference

Dr. Usman Abbas Sarkin-Pada, Head of the Department of Procurement and Supply Chain Management and Director of Procurement at Kaduna State University, has been conferred with the prestigious Fellowship of the Association of Public Procurement Practitioners of Nigeria (FCPP). This honor recognizes his remarkable contributions to public procurement practice and policy development.

Dr. Sarkin-Pada actively participated in the APPON 2025 National Conference, held from August 11 to 15, 2025, at the Borno State Hotel, Maiduguri. The conference theme was "Mainstreaming Public Procurement for Effective Budget Implementation."

Dr. Sarkin-Pada presented a scholarly paper titled "Capacity Building and Professionalization of Procurement Personnel: Panacea for Strengthening Public Procurement Compliance in Nigeria – A Comparative Analysis."

He featured in a panel discussion on "Ethical Issues in Mainstreaming Public Procurement for Effective Budget Implementation in Nigeria," alongside notable discussants from state bureaus of public procurement and federal universities.
