Patrick Itumo, the university's Public Relations Officer, confirmed the institution's awareness of a viral video containing accusations regarding prolonged academic delays and coercive sexual practices.

In the video, reportedly shared by a former student of Ebonyi State University, concerns are raised about the prolonged duration of studies for some students, particularly females, allegedly due to their refusal to engage in sexual activities with certain lecturers.
Patrick Itumo assured the public that the university administration is taking these allegations seriously and has commenced an internal inquiry into the matter. He pledged transparency in the investigative process, promising to publicly disclose the findings once the investigation is concluded.
