Edo State University Uzairue inaugurated two committees in accordance with the mandate of the Edo State Government led by His Excellency, Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, the Governor and visitor to the University.

The Management, led by Vice Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Emmanuel O. Aluyor inaugurated these committees: one tasked with reviewing the strategic plan of the University and proposing a medium-term implementation strategy, and the other Committee would focus on documenting the University's achievements and milestones during the past seven years of Governor Obaseki's administration.

During the inauguration ceremony held at the Senate Chambers of the University's administrative building, Vice Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Emmanuel O. Aluyor emphasized the significance of these committees, highlighting their role in assessing the institution's commitment to and realization of its mission and vision since its establishment in 2016.

He expressed gratitude to the State Governor for his steadfast support in advancing the quality of education in Edo State, which has contributed to the growth of tertiary education in both Edo State University Uzairue and the broader region.

Recognizing the remarkable progress made by the University over the past seven years, expanding from two faculties and eight programs to nine faculties offering 30 undergraduate and numerous postgraduate programs, the Vice Chancellor urged the committee members to diligently fulfil their responsibilities in alignment with the University's objective of providing world-class education in Nigeria.

In recent years, Edo State University has garnered significant acclaim from local and international bodies. Notably, it was recognized as the 10th best University in Nigeria, the best State University and, the best University in the South-South geopolitical zone ranking of by the National University Commission (NUC) System Ranking in 2022. These accolades underscore the collective commitment to excellence demonstrated by the University's Management and the State Government.
