The formal handover of the land to the university was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the community leaders and ESUT officials at the university's main campus in Agbani. Speaking on behalf of Obe Community, HRH Igwe Stephen Nweke, the traditional ruler, emphasized the newfound synergy between the communities and ESUT, attributing it to the exemplary leadership of ESUT's Vice Chancellor, Prof. Alloysius Michaels-Okolie.
