Enugu State University (ESUT) community has been struck by a distressing situation as one of its own, a student, has been battling kidney failure since January 14, 2024. The dire condition has led to a halt in urination for the affected individual, whose name is withheld for privacy reasons.

The student's family is urgently seeking funds for a life-saving kidney transplant procedure. The total cost for the transplant is estimated at 17 million Naira. However, despite tireless efforts, the family has only managed to raise 8 million Naira, leaving a shortfall of 9 million Naira.
