Professor John Jiya Musa, a distinguished Agricultural Engineer, has emphasized the importance of efficient natural resource management in ensuring food security for the world's growing population. He made this call in his inaugural lecture at the Federal University of Technology, Minna.

Professor Musa stressed the vital role of soil and water preservation in ensuring long-term agricultural productivity and national food stability. He advocated for the adoption of sustainable conservation techniques and highlighted the risks of heavy metal contamination in farming soils near dumpsites and the impact of cattle movement on soil health.
