The father of a 300-level FUOYE student has blamed the Ondo teaching hospital for the death of his son.

The father of a 300-level student from the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has accused the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital, Akure (UNIMEDTH) of negligence following the death of his son.

Prince Bola Adebobola had filed a petition against the hospital, alleging that a consultant doctor, Dr. (Mrs.) Alabi, failed to provide necessary medical attention to his son, Goodness Adedotun Adebobola.

According to Prince Adebobola, his son was admitted to UNIMEDTH for an undisclosed ailment and was assigned to Dr. Alabi's care. He claims that despite the critical condition of his son, Dr. Alabi repeatedly refused to attend to him, which he believes led to the untimely death of Goodness.

The allegations have sparked outrage and calls for an investigation into the conduct of the hospital staff and the circumstances surrounding the student's death. 

Prince Adebobola is seeking justice for his son and has urged relevant authorities to take appropriate action against those responsible for the alleged negligence. The case has drawn significant attention from the public and the media, highlighting concerns about the quality of healthcare services in the region.
