FCE Obudu Demonstration Secondary School Marks 15th Graduation in Style
The Demonstration Secondary School of the Federal College of Education, Obudu, on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, held its 15th Graduation Ceremony at the School Pavilion, drawing dignitaries, parents, staff, students and well-wishers to a colorful celebration of excellence.

In her address, the Board Chairman, Mrs. Aniah-Betiang E.I, expressed gratitude to the Provost of the College, Dr. Richard Ugbaha Utubaku, and his management team for their continuous support. She commended parents for entrusting the school with their children and praised teachers for their patience and dedication. To the graduates, she urged them to pursue success with character and positive impact.

Principal of the school, Mr. Coker Ismailia, highlighted milestones recorded under the current leadership, including NECO’s full re-accreditation with an 89 percent rating in 2022, the establishment of a functional mini-library, regular payment of staff stipends, and a national award won by one of the school’s students as WAEC’s Best Graduating Candidate in 2023.

Speaking on behalf of the Provost, Deputy Provost Dr. Hisham Aliyu Mohammed congratulated the school on its achievements and assured that the College Management would sustain its support to ensure greater accomplishments in the years ahead.

The event featured cultural displays, musical performances and prize presentations to outstanding students, leaving guests with a lasting impression of the school’s commitment to excellence and holistic education.
