The Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Oyo State, has expressed profound grief over the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away on Sunday at the age of 82.

The Rector, Engr. Dr. Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed, described the late President as a "founding benefactor" of the institution, which was established in February 2021 during his administration. Dr. Abdul-Hameed highlighted the significant contributions of the Buhari administration to technical and vocational education in Nigeria, including the establishment of six new federal polytechnics.

The polytechnic community has pledged to continue blazing the trail in technical education as a tribute to the late President's vision.
