Federal Polytechnic Bauchi Students to Face Possible SUG Dues Increase

The Student Union Government of Federal Polytechnic Bauchi is contemplating an increase in its dues, paid during registration, in order to enhance and bring more development to the institution for student benefits.

According to an anonymous source, the current amount is no longer sufficient due to rising costs adding that "Things are now expensive, as such, the current amount can no longer do something tangible".

However, the source told this reporter that the attempt is still under review and letter will be written to the management of the polytechnic for due consideration.

"The SUG might increase the payment because prices have risen, and the current amount can't make a meaningful difference, " the source added. "However, they won't force students to pay more without careful consideration. If necessary, they may maintain the current amount to avoid students been pressurize". He explained.
