Ilaro Polytechnic Students score third place in ICAN Accountancy Challenge
In a remarkable achievement, two students pursuing Higher National Diploma in Accountancy at Federal Polytechnic Ilaro in Ogun State, have clinched the third position in the highly competitive 2023 edition of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) Accountancy Challenge Nigeria.
Oluwasegun Diyan and Nafisat Abdulganiyu, representing Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, jointly secured the third place in this prestigious competition.
This accomplishment is made even more impressive by the fact that Federal Polytechnic Ilaro was the sole polytechnic among the top nine institutions to qualify for the final round, which is set to take place in Abuja. The exact date for the final round is yet to be announced by ICAN.

- Ahmadu Bello University: 64%
- University of Lagos: 56%
- University of Benin: 56%

- Federal Polytechnic Ilaro: 56%
- Nnamdi Azikiwe University: 52%
- University of Maiduguri: 52%
- Benue State University: 52%

The ICAN Accountancy Challenge Nigeria is an intellectual competition organized by ICAN in collaboration with O.J. Inspiration Limited. Its aim is to foster accountancy education among undergraduates in all ICAN-accredited tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
