Federal Polytechnic Nekede Disobeys Court Order to Reinstate Staff after being Unfairly Dismissed
A petition was presented to the House of Representatives on behalf of Mr. Theophilus Okere Anozie, concerning the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Imo State, regarding alleged disobedience to a court order.
Mr. Theophilus Okere Anozie, a former staff member of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, was dismissed from his position on March 16, 2015. However, the Industrial Court ruled that his dismissal was illegal, unlawful, and unconstitutional, ordering his reinstatement. Despite the court's ruling, the Federal Polytechnic Nekede has neither reinstated Mr. Anozie nor appealed the court's decision.

On July 23, 2024, a petition was presented to the House of Representatives on behalf of Mr. Theophilus Okere Anozie, concerning the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Imo State, regarding alleged disobedience to a court order.
"This petition seeks the intervention of the House of Representatives on this matter," stated the petitioner, Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi during the presentation. "The Federal Polytechnic Nekede's failure to comply with the court order has caused significant distress and injustice to Mr. Anozie."

The petition has been forwarded to the House Committee on Public Petitions for further review and consideration.
