Federal Polytechnic Wannune Welcomes New Governing Board with Inaugural Meeting
The Federal Polytechnic Wannune received its new Governing Board led by Chief Michael Msuaan, who pledged commitment to the institution's development during their inaugural meeting.
The Federal Polytechnic Wannune, located in Tarka LGA of Benue State, celebrated a significant milestone today as it welcomed its newly appointed Governing Board. The board, chaired by Chief Michael Msuaan, was warmly received by the institution's Rector, Dr. Tyover Ashinya Dajoh, along with an enthusiastic crowd of students and staff.
The visit included an inaugural meeting held at the institution's official boardroom, attended by all members of the Governing Board and the entire management staff. Chief Michael Msuaan, in his welcome speech, expressed his gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for the appointment, acknowledging the responsibility and trust placed in the board. He also thanked the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Sen. Dr. George Akume, for his recommendations.

Chief Msuaan praised the Rector and the management team for their remarkable achievements within a short period, highlighting the importance of unity and collaboration to advance the institution. He pledged the board's commitment to enhancing the polytechnic's development, ensuring it competes favorably with its counterparts, and aligning with President Tinubu's renewed hope agenda.

The chairman emphasized his dedication to leveraging his experience from the institution's pioneer board to secure the accreditation of more courses and foster the polytechnic's swift development. He called for the unwavering support of all stakeholders, including the host community, to achieve these goals.

Rector Dr. Tyover Ashinya Dajoh congratulated the board members on their appointments and expressed his excitement about their commitment to academic excellence. He highlighted the administration's deliberate efforts to develop and expand the school, which has led to a significant increase in student enrollment from 200 to 700 and an expansion of NBTE accredited courses from two to eight. Dr. Dajoh requested the board's cooperation to increase manpower in key departments in line with relevant guidelines.
Following the meeting, the board members were given a tour of the polytechnic by the Rector and enjoyed a warm reception that showcased the rich culture of the people of Benue State.
