Federal University Dutse Announces Strategic Partnership with AZMAN University

The Federal University Dutse (FUD) is set to partner with AZMAN University, Kano, in various areas of mutual interest to advance the goals of both institutions. This announcement was made by FUD Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed, during a courtesy visit to the Pioneer Vice-Chancellor of AZMAN University, Prof. Fatima Batul Mukhtar.

During the visit, Prof. Abdulkarim emphasized the importance of global collaboration between institutions, particularly in research and student training. He noted that FUD, being an older institution, is open to sharing its expertise with AZMAN University in areas where it is needed.

Prof. Abdulkarim also highlighted the responsibility of both public and private institutions to work together, as their combined efforts ultimately benefit the public, who are the end users of their educational products. He praised AZMAN University for securing the leadership of Prof. Fatima, a well-experienced academician, whose track record at FUD he expects to be replicated at AZMAN.

Prof. Fatima, in her response, expressed her gratitude for the visit, likening the FUD delegation to family members visiting her new office. She affirmed AZMAN University's interest in partnering with FUD on academic collaboration, staff and student exchange programs, joint conferences, staff training, research collaboration, and sharing of library resources, among others.

She also thanked FUD for its support in providing foundational staff that helped set up AZMAN University, noting that their contributions have been instrumental in establishing the new institution's legal unit.
