Federal University Dutse Declares Monday Work-Free Day

The Federal University Dutse (FUD) has announced that Monday, July 8th, 2024 (1st Muharram 1446 AH) has been declared a work-free day by the Jigawa State Government to commemorate the beginning of the Islamic New Year 1446 After Hijra (AH).

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed, urges all staff and students to use the day to pray for the peace and progress of the university and the country.

Essential service staff are expected to report to duty as usual. Work will resume on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024 (2nd Muharram 1446 AH).
