Federal University Lokoja Introduces 14 New Degree Programmes for 2026/2027 Admission
The Federal University Lokoja (FUL) has officially announced the introduction of 14 newly approved undergraduate programmes into the 2026/2027 admission exercise following successful resource verification by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
The Federal University Lokoja (FUL) has officially announced the introduction of 14 newly approved undergraduate programmes into the 2026/2027 admission exercise following successful resource verification by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
According to the University, the programmes are now available on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS), enabling prospective candidates to apply through the JAMB Change of Institution or Course portal and participate in the University's Post-UTME screening.
The newly approved programmes are:
- B.Sc. Agricultural Economics
- B.Sc. Actuarial Science
- B.Sc. Artificial Intelligence
- B.Sc. Broadcasting Journalism
- B.Sc. Criminology and Security Studies
- B.Sc. Cyber Security
- B.Sc. Data Science
- B.Sc. Entrepreneurship Studies
- B.Sc. Film and Multimedia Studies
- B.Sc. Fisheries and Aquaculture
- B.Sc. Procurement Management
- B.Sc. Psychology
- B.Sc. Software Engineering
- B.Sc. Urban and Regional Planning

The addition of the new programmes reflects the University's continued commitment to expanding its academic offerings in line with emerging national and global workforce demands, particularly in technology, agriculture, media, security, entrepreneurship and the social sciences.
Prospective candidates interested in any of the newly introduced programmes are advised to effect the necessary changes through the JAMB portal where applicable and complete the University's Post-UTME screening process in line with the admission guidelines for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The development is expected to broaden academic opportunities for applicants while further strengthening the University's capacity to produce graduates equipped with relevant knowledge and skills for today's dynamic labour market.
