Federal University Lokoja VC Issues Lent and Ramadan Greetings on First Day in Office

The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja, Professor Gbenga Solomon Ibileye, has extended warm greetings to the University community on the simultaneous commencement of the sacred seasons of Lent and Ramadan.

In his message, Professor Ibileye highlighted the unique significance of both fasting periods occurring at the same time, describing it as a symbol of unity in diversity within the University.

For the Christian faithful, Lent represents a season of prayer, reflection, sacrifice, and renewal, emphasizing humility, compassion, and service. For the Muslim community, Ramadan is a period of fasting, devotion, charity, discipline, and spiritual growth, encouraging generosity, self-purification, and strengthened faith.
