This visit stems from earlier discussions between UNILAG and the French Embassy regarding the FEF Plastic Recycling Project. The initiative aims to enhance plastic recycling efforts through a three-phase plan:

  1. Establishment of a Containerized Mini-Factory: This facility will be equipped with essential plastic recycling machinery including a crusher, extruder, injection press, compression oven, and plate press, situated at the University of Lagos.

  2. Technical Training Sessions: These sessions will be organized to train fablab managers, users, researchers, lecturers, and students in operating the mini-factory effectively.

  3. Research Support: A call for projects will be initiated to encourage research focused on addressing plastic pollution.
