The Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) have expressed optimism about resolving ongoing issues within the university system after a productive meeting. The meeting saw both parties engage in constructive dialogue, with the Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, describing the discussions as "fruitful."

ASUU President, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, echoed the Minister's sentiments, expressing hope for an amicable resolution. Both sides agreed to reconvene on September 6th to report on the progress made and outline the next steps in the implementation process.
