According to a candidate’s account, they were instructed by the JAMB Page on Instagram to raise a ticket on the official website for their result, which was under investigation. However, JAMB’s official handle on Instagram has categorically stated that they do not maintain any accounts on the platform. You’re hereby advised not to pay any individual or organization for any JAMB-related services on social media.”

The revelation surprised some candidates. One tweeted, “Wow, so this JAMB account on Instagram is fake.” Another questioned why government security agencies couldn’t track down this cybercrime syndicate and apprehend those responsible. They suggested that JAMB, as an established government agency, should not only post disclaimers but also involve the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in pursuing the perpetrators.

In light of this situation, it’s crucial to exercise caution online and verify official channels before engaging with any JAMB-related services or information. If you encounter suspicious accounts, promptly report them to prevent others from falling victim to scams. Stay vigilant!
