Addressing a one-day training program for heads of academic departments and senior administrative officers, Professor Abdul Rahman emphasized the importance of accreditation, stating that it is a crucial aspect of academic excellence and the university's existence.

The training program, titled "Preparations and Procedures of Accreditation," aimed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to ensure a successful accreditation exercise. The event featured a lecture by Professor Ilemona Adofu, Director of Academic Planning, FULafia, who highlighted areas requiring attention, including library resources, environmental safety, curriculum development, and examination processes.

The Vice-Chancellor, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic Affairs, Professor Aleruchi Chuku, urged staff to avoid mistakes that could jeopardize the accreditation process, stressing that the university's existence and relevance depend on it.
The training program was organized by the Staff Productivity and Promotion Unit (SPPU) and was attended by key university officials, including the University Librarian, Professor Abiodun Iyoro, and the Head of Quality Assurance, Dr. Abubakar Hassan Ahmed II.
