FULafia Secures Full Accreditation for 15 Courses, Two Gain Interim Status

The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has achieved a significant milestone with the accreditation of 15 academic programs, while two others have attained interim accreditation status. This announcement comes following a rigorous evaluation conducted by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
In a letter addressed to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, Abraham Chundusu, the Ag. Director of Accreditation at NUC, confirmed the accreditation statuses. The accredited programs include agriculture, fisheries and aquaculture, forestry and wildlife management, medical laboratory science, and physiology.

Interim accreditation was granted to anatomy and computer science, housed within the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences and Computer Science respectively.
Accreditation by NUC ensures that these programs meet the required standards for quality education delivery. Full accreditation status is valid for five years, affirming FULafia's commitment to maintaining academic excellence and quality assurance in its offerings.
The accreditation exercise, conducted between October and November 2023, underscores FULafia's dedication to enhancing its academic offerings and providing students with robust educational opportunities.
