FULafia Vice-Chancellor Inaugurates Upgraded Agric Faculty Library, Fish Pond, and Signpost

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, has inaugurated the newly upgraded library of the Faculty of Agriculture, named after him, "Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman Library". The library is located at the Faculty of Agriculture premises, Permanent Site Campus of the University.

Additionally, the Vice-Chancellor inaugurated a fish pond and a signpost, as part of activities marking the fourth student orientation program for the 2023/2024 academic session of the faculty.

Represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research and Partnerships, Prof. Samaila Usman Dakyes, the Vice-Chancellor commended the faculty staff for upgrading the library and thanked the dean and faculty board for the honor of naming the library after him. He emphasized the importance of libraries in promoting education, research, and personal development.

During the orientation program, the Vice-Chancellor urged students to take their studies seriously and utilize the opportunity to make their dreams come true. He also advised them to shun social vices and uphold university rules and regulations.

The Registrar of the University, Malam Nuradeen Abdu, delivered the keynote address, appreciating the faculty for organizing the orientation program and advising students to focus on their studies.

The dean of the faculty, Prof. Usman Alhassan, represented by the deputy dean, Dr. Abdullahi Jaji, expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor and his management team for their support. He highlighted the faculty's efforts to ensure the successful graduation of its first set of students.

The event included the presentation of awards to outstanding staff and students.
