Full List Released Of State-Owned Higher Institutions Approved for Student Loan Applications
This follows a two-week postponement of the loan application process, which was delayed because many institutions had not uploaded the required student data and fees information to the SVS.

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced that students enrolled in 36 state-owned tertiary institutions are now eligible to apply for student loans, effective from Sunday, July 7, 2024.
In a recent statement, NELFUND confirmed that the management of these institutions had successfully submitted their student data to the NELFUND Student Verification System (SVS). This follows a two-week postponement of the loan application process, which was delayed because many institutions had not uploaded the required student data and fees information to the SVS.

The Fund emphasized the importance of timely data submission by other state-owned institutions to ensure their students can also benefit from the loan scheme.
The cleared institutions include:
- Adamawa State University, Mubi
- Ramat Polytechnic, Maiduguri
- Borno State University
- Mohammed Lawan College of Agriculture, Borno State
- Edo State University, Uzairue
- Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti
- Gombe State University
- Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University, Imo State
- Imo State University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Umuagwo

Students from these institutions are encouraged to apply for the loans through the NELFUND platform to support their educational pursuits.
NELFUND urged all other state-owned tertiary institutions to submit their complete student data to the NELFUND Student Verification System promptly to enable their students to benefit from the scheme.
