The Alumni Association of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) recently honoured the exemplary leadership of the FUNAAB Zoo Park at a special event, highlighting the significant contributions of outgoing executives. The ceremony, held at the Zoo Park, celebrated the leadership of former Global President, Dr. Segun Ogundiran, whose visionary efforts revitalised the association during his tenure.

Mr. Bolaji Gbadamosi, the current Global President, commended the outgoing executives, acknowledging their role in laying a solid foundation for the association’s continued progress. He reiterated the association’s commitment to supporting the ongoing development of the Zoo Park, emphasising its role in conservation and education.

Dr. Ogundiran, in his address, credited his achievements to divine guidance and the unwavering support of his executive team. The event featured the presentation of gifts and awards to Dr. Ogundiran and his team, alongside a tour of the Zoo Park.

Distinguished guests included Prof. Kola Adebayo, FUNAAB’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), who chaired the event, and Prof. Sammy Sam-Wobo, Director of the Zoo Park and a founding member of the association. The contributions of notable figures such as Prof. Bayo Ayorinde and Prof. Niyi Afolabi were also recognised, further strengthening the bond between the alumni and the university.

The celebration underscored the association’s dedication to promoting growth and collaboration within both the Zoo Park and FUNAAB at large.
