FUNAAB Graduate Michael Aladejobi Clinches Prestigious 2025 NIPES Award
The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has added another feather to its cap as Mr. Michael Aladejobi, a recent graduate of the Department of Computer Science, has won the highly coveted 2025 Dr. Daniel Ejike Ewim Foundation Scholarship Award, presented by the National Institute of Professional Engineers and Scientists (NIPES).

The award, conferred on August 8, 2025, is known for its rigorous standards and international recognition, celebrating emerging leaders in engineering and science. It highlights recipients’ academic excellence, research potential, and professional commitment.
Prof. Oluwasefunmi Arogundade, Dean of FUNAAB’s College of Computing (COLCOMP), which now houses the Computer Science Department, praised Aladejobi’s accomplishment, describing it as a reflection of the University’s enduring culture of innovation and excellence. “This recognition among the most competitive scholarships globally underscores the high calibre of our students and their dedication to advancing knowledge,” he stated.

At the award presentation, NIPES commended Aladejobi for his scholarly achievements and commitment to scientific advancement, urging him to continue to serve as a model for Africa’s emerging innovators. The scholarship, established in honour of Dr. Daniel Ejike Ewim, reinforces NIPES’ mission to cultivate visionary leaders capable of contributing to national development and global science.
FUNAAB’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, expressed pride in the graduate, noting that the award represents not only a personal milestone but also a testament to the University’s role as a hub for talent and innovation. “Our students are the torchbearers of impact and innovation, and their success continues to amplify FUNAAB’s influence on the national and international stage,” he remarked.
