FUNAAB Launches ADEPTI Programme to Strengthen Staff Administrative Capacity
The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) on December 1, 2025, officially commenced the week-long Advanced Digital Empowerment Programme for Tertiary Institutions (ADEPTI), aimed at enhancing staff competence, administrative efficiency, and overall institutional performance.

Representing the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Prof. Olawale Dairo, commended the organisers for sustaining initiatives that foster continuous staff development. He emphasized that programmes like ADEPTI are crucial for strengthening the workforce, boosting productivity, and aligning FUNAAB with global best practices in governance.
In his opening remarks, the Vice-Chancellor encouraged participants to fully engage with the training and take advantage of the sessions to deepen their skills.

The Director of the Directorate of Academic Planning (DAP), Prof. Olajide Sogunle, welcomed participants from various Units, Departments, and Colleges across the University. He noted that the training is structured to improve professional competence, introduce best administrative practices, and promote the use of technology-driven tools for effective service delivery.
Speaking on behalf of the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI), Coordinator Mr. Adesoji Fagbemi highlighted FUNAAB’s commitment to building a skilled, innovative, and dynamic workforce. He noted that the programme is fully funded by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and designed to enhance participants’ proficiency with emerging digital tools, Microsoft Office applications, and essential cybersecurity principles. The training also aims to help staff automate and streamline office and academic tasks.

The programme, which began on December 1, is scheduled to conclude on Friday, December 5, 2025, marking a significant step in FUNAAB’s drive to strengthen institutional capacity and workforce competence.
