The Nimbe Adedipe Library (NAL) at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) launched an E-books and Journal Exhibition on July 30, 2024, at the College of Plant Science and Crop Production (COLPLANT) Foyer. This initiative aims to enhance research activities among students and staff.

The Opening Ceremony featured remarks from Vice-Chancellor Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, represented by Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi. Prof. Akinyemi, also Chairman of the NAL Board, praised University Librarian Prof. Abayomi Owolabi for his proactive leadership. He emphasized the university's progress in providing E-Resources and urged Deans to promote the use of E-books among their staff.

Prof. Owolabi explained that the exhibition aims to raise awareness of the library’s extensive resources. FUNAAB subscribes to over eight E-Resources, including Ebscohost, ScienceDirect, ProQuest, Research4Life, Community of Biologists, Sabinet, SpringerLink, DOAB, DOAJ, and AJOL databases. He noted the exhibition's goal is to improve research visibility and output across the university, addressing the current low usage by staff and students.

Prof. Adewale Salau, representing the Dean of COLPLANT, expressed confidence in the exhibition’s benefits for both students and staff, highlighting the university's progress in Nigeria.
