FUNAAB Partners 720Degree Innovation Hub to Strengthen Student Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Speaking during a courtesy visit by representatives of the 720Degree Innovation Hub, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde—represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Prof. Olawale Dairo—stated that the University remains focused on providing students with hands-on learning experiences that would prepare them for self-employment and economic independence.
He explained that the ongoing training sessions facilitated by the Innovation Hub were tailored to build entrepreneurial competence, marketing acumen, and sustainable wealth-creation strategies. The Vice-Chancellor described the collaboration as a step in the right direction, aligning with FUNAAB’s mission of producing graduates who are not only employable but also capable of creating job opportunities.
The Director, Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies (CENTS), Prof. Emily Ayo John, disclosed that FUNAAB was chosen as one of the key partner institutions to train 90 students in entrepreneurship and marketing. She explained that 30 students are currently engaged in a 10-day Creative Mode training, while another 60 would participate in the Inspiring Mode programme designed to enhance corporate employability and business innovation skills.

In his remarks, the Chief Technical Officer of 720Degree Innovation Hub, Mr. Yemi Ogundeyi, praised FUNAAB for its proactive drive toward entrepreneurship development, noting that the partnership aligns with the University’s mission of producing industry-ready, innovative graduates.
He emphasised that the collaboration would provide students with the practical exposure and modern tools required to succeed in today’s competitive business environment, while contributing to Nigeria’s broader socio-economic advancement.

The visit reinforced the growing synergy between FUNAAB and 720Degree Innovation Hub in nurturing a new generation of innovative, solution-driven, and self-reliant graduates.
