The Centre aims to address various ailments and diseases through cutting-edge research and drug invention.

The Vice-Chancellor of FUOYE, Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina, approved the formation of FuTRAC and the training of a thirteen-member research team. The team, comprising experts from the Faculties of Science, Basic Medical Sciences, and Pharmacy, began their training on July 19, 2024, at Mols & Sims Biomedical Laboratory in Ado-Ekiti. The training, led by renowned pharmacology professor Prof. O.I. Omotuyi, will span six months.
Dr. B.O. Ajiboye, head of the FuTRAC team, highlighted the Centre’s goals to develop, patent, and commercialize new drugs, following proper government procedures. Prof. Fasina's initiative aims to position FUOYE as a leader in innovative research and drug development, benefiting both the local community and the broader Nigerian populace.
