FUTA, Al-Hikmah, Vaal University Join U6+ Consortium as University of Gambia Named Host for 9th Conference
The newly signed institutions include the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), Al-Hikmah University, and Vaal University of Technology from South Africa, expanding the consortium’s academic and research collaborations.

The 8th U6+ Consortium International Conference, themed "Innovation for Sustainable Development and Transformation in Africa," saw the induction of three new universities into the consortium on Day 2 of the event.
The newly signed institutions include the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), Al-Hikmah University, and Vaal University of Technology from South Africa, expanding the consortium’s academic and research collaborations.
In addition, the University of Gambia was officially announced as the host for the 9th U6+ Consortium International Conference, continuing the tradition of fostering academic partnerships across Africa.
