Mayowa Samuel Aderoju, a distinguished alumnus of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) Class of 2020, has achieved remarkable success at North Dakota State University (NDSU), graduating with the Class of 2024 cohort. He received a distinguished Master's degree in Plant Pathology, accompanied by numerous prestigious awards and scholarships in recognition of his academic excellence.

Originally from the Department of Crop, Soil, and Pest Management at FUTA, Mayowa's journey to NDSU was marked by exceptional achievements. He secured over $63,000 in full-ride scholarships to pursue his degree in Plant Pathology, reflecting his dedication, resilience, and outstanding academic performance in the academic community.

During his tenure at NDSU, Mayowa distinguished himself as a top performer, ranking within the top 1% of his cohort. He garnered multiple accolades, including the Judith F. Taggart Mentor and Inclusion Award, MANRRS Gold Scholarship Award, Agricultural Microbiomes Thinkaton Award, and the 2023 Corteva Delta Symposium Fellow, among others.
