Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) Presents A 5-Day Training Workshop on:Hands On approach on Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer (GC-MSD) 

Professor Julius Okojie Central Research Laboratory (PJOCRL), Centre of Excellence for Food Security was supported by STEP-B, a World Bank project. One of its core mandates is training on laboratory instrumentation, operations, application and maintenance of analytical instruments. PJOCRL is equipped with the state-of-art equipment that meets international best practices.

Training Objectives:

To impart adequate skills that will enable the participants to effectively use and maintain GCMS in order to be able to analyse various samples with a view to enhancing control on Laboratory, teaching and research. At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

develop methods for various chromatographic techniques;

operate and carry out analysis correctly using GC and GCMS;

interpret Chromatograms generate from GC and GCMS;

fully understand and have a sound knowledge on application of GCMS.

Target Audience:    Technologists, Scientists, Academics, Post Graduate Students Quality Control Manager and Researchers.

Approach to Training:

The workshop will be facilitated by experts with over two decades of experience on the subject matter. This will involve lectures, discussions, and syndicate works.
