FUTA Set to Host Book Launch and Foundation Inauguration for Former Vice Chancellor Professor Peter Adeniyi

Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) is set to host the book launch and inauguration of the Peter Adeniyi Foundation on November 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. The event will take place at the Theodore Idibiye Francis Auditorium and will celebrate the accomplishments of Professor Peter Olufemi Adeniyi, the university’s 4th substantive Vice Chancellor.

The book, titled LIFTED, is an autobiographical account detailing Professor Adeniyi's remarkable journey from his hometown of Ootunja in Ekiti State to becoming a distinguished Professor of Geoinformatics. His academic career spans over six decades, showcasing his dedication and contributions to the field.

The launch of the Peter Adeniyi Foundation aims to formalize the professor’s philanthropic efforts and expand his impact on society. According to Professor Olatunde Arayela, Chairman of the Planning Committee, the event will be hosted by the current Vice Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji, with the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency Mr. Abiodun Oyebanji, serving as the special guest of honor.
