FUTMINNA Holds Orientation for Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme
The Schools of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology (SAAT) and Science and Technology Education (SSTE) have launched the orientation for the 2024/2025 Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) to prepare students for their upcoming industrial training.
The Schools of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology (SAAT) and Science and Technology Education (SSTE) at Federal University of Technology, Minna, commenced the orientation for the Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) for the 2024/2025 academic year. The event took place at Cavarton Hall, SAAT, on the Main Campus.
Addressing the 400-level students, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, represented by the Dean of SAAT, Prof. Jacob Haruna Tsado, emphasized the significance of the 24-week industrial training. He urged students to focus on their specializations and treat the training with the seriousness it deserves.
"Hands-on experience will prove invaluable in your future careers," Prof. Kuta advised, highlighting the importance of integrating theoretical knowledge with practical applications.
