Gombe State Disability Commission Pays Courtesy Visit to GSU Acting Vice-Chancellor

The Chairman and members of the Gombe State Disability Commission paid a courtesy visit to the Acting Vice-Chancellor of Gombe State University, Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta, at his office on April 16, 2025.
The Commission commended Professor Yauta for his dedication to inclusive education and promoting the welfare of students with disabilities. They particularly praised his role in establishing the International Relations and Development Office and for initiating and sustaining payment of tuition fees for students with disabilities.
The Commission presented a blueprint for enhancing disability inclusion on campus and appealed to Professor Yauta to continue fostering partnerships to support students with disabilities. In response, Professor Yauta reaffirmed his commitment to inclusivity, emphasizing that the university would align with disability laws and policies and create an enabling environment for all students.
Both parties pledged to sustain their collaboration to promote disability inclusion in higher education.
