Hajj Institute Graduates Second Batch of 54 Students

The graduation ceremony, which took place at the Hajj House in Abuja, was graced by NAHCON Acting Chairman/CEO, Mallam Jalal Ahmad Arabi. During his address, Arabi encouraged the graduates to utilize their knowledge for the benefit of Nigerian pilgrims and to enhance the performance of Hajj operations.

Hajj Institute Graduates Second Batch of 54 Students

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) celebrated the graduation of its second batch of students from the Hajj Institute of Nigeria (HIN). A total of 54 participants successfully completed their training program, receiving professional certificates.

The graduation ceremony, which took place at the Hajj House in Abuja, was graced by NAHCON Acting Chairman/CEO, Mallam Jalal Ahmad Arabi. During his address, Arabi encouraged the graduates to utilize their knowledge for the benefit of Nigerian pilgrims and to enhance the performance of Hajj operations.

He highlighted the importance of the graduates in preparing for the 2024 Hajj exercise and urged them to work diligently to meet the Saudi authorities' timeline.

Arabi emphasized the significance of professionalizing the administration of Hajj and Umrah in Nigeria and urged the graduates to find strategies to deliver efficient services to pilgrims. He also encouraged them to contribute to the socio-economic well-being of the country.

Professor Nasir Maitulare, the HIN Rector, congratulated the graduates on their successful completion of the course on Strategic Management of Hajj and Umrah Operation. He explained that the course aimed to enhance the capacities of Hajj and Umrah managers in Nigeria and improve the administration of Hajj.Maitulare urged the graduates to use their knowledge to improve the administration of Hajj and deliver efficient and effective services to pilgrims.

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Professor Abdulrasheed Na’Allah, commended NAHCON's initiative in establishing the Hajj Institute of Nigeria and called on Hajj administrators to prioritize pilgrims' welfare.

The graduation ceremony marked the culmination of a one-month program involving both physical and virtual study for officials from the commission and state Muslim pilgrims welfare boards who undertook professional training in Strategic Management of Hajj and Umrah.
