Heads of Kwara State Institutions Congratulate New KWASU VC, Prof Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh

The Committee of Heads of State-owned Institutions in Kwara State has extended heartfelt congratulations to Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh on his recent appointment as the substantive Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete.
During a courtesy visit to Professor Jimoh's office on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, the Chairman of the Committee, Professor Aremu Mukaila Ayanda, praised the new Vice Chancellor for his extensive experience as a seasoned administrator and esteemed scholar. "We celebrate with you on your well-deserved elevation to the position of Chief Executive Officer," Professor Ayanda remarked, expressing confidence in Professor Jimoh's capabilities.

The Provost of the College of Education, Oro, noted that Professor Jimoh’s elevation was a recognition of his hard work and dedication. He offered prayers for a successful tenure, emphasizing the Committee's commitment to fostering robust collaboration among state-owned institutions to enhance tertiary education in Kwara State.

In response, Professor Jimoh expressed profound gratitude to the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazq, for the opportunity to serve in this significant role. He also acknowledged the support he received from the Committee, colleagues, and friends, both within and outside the university, throughout his journey to the Vice Chancellor position.

Among the notable heads of institutions present at the courtesy visit were Dr. Barakat Ibrahim, Provost of the College of Education (Technical) Lafiagi; Dr. Aliyu A., Provost of the Kwara State College of Health, Offa; Dr. Sa'adu Hadi, Provost of the College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies (CAILS); Dr. Ayinde Shehu Jawondo, Acting Provost of the Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin; Captain Yakubu Okatalu, Rector of the Aviation College, Ilorin; Dr. Yari S. Salihu, Rector of the International Vocational, Technical and Entrepreneurship College, Ajasse-Ipo; and Yusuf Salimat Iyabo, Director of the College of Nursing Science, Ilorin.
This visit marks a significant step towards strengthening the bonds among educational institutions in the state, underlining the shared goal of advancing higher education in Kwara.
