Igbinedion University, Okada, has commended Dr. Regina Emengini Nwokedi, a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Physics, for her 19 years of meritorious and impactful service to the institution.

In a letter of commendation signed by the Registrar, Mr. Ahola Orgeh, the University praised Dr. Nwokedi—fondly known as “Mama Physics”—for her dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment during her contract appointment spanning from January 16, 2006, to September 30, 2025.
The management acknowledged her exceptional contributions in various leadership capacities, including her coordination of the General Studies Unit and her tenure as Head of the Department of Physics. She was also lauded for her effective leadership roles at the Female Hostel and the University Staff School, where her efforts reportedly enhanced operational efficiency and overall performance.
According to the commendation letter, Dr. Nwokedi’s steadfast service has provided a “veritable platform” for the continued growth of her department and the University at large. Despite challenges, the management noted that she consistently delivered her responsibilities with excellence.
On behalf of the University’s management, the Registrar expressed profound appreciation and offered best wishes for her future pursuits, stating, “I commend you once again for your meritorious service.”
