The Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic (IMAP), Lafia, has announced a partnership with Lincoln College of Science, Management and Technology, a Malaysia-based institution, to enhance student skill development through support training. This collaboration focuses on key areas such as artificial intelligence, computer software engineering, the Internet of Things (IoT), computer science, cybersecurity, software development, and management.

During a courtesy visit from a delegation of the Malaysian institution, the Acting Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Nurudeen Mu'azu Maifata, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, emphasizing the Polytechnic's commitment to advancing broad-based research in science, engineering, and technology. He highlighted that the Nasarawa State Governor and Visitor to the Polytechnic, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, is actively supporting initiatives to improve engineering studies.

Dr. Maifata referred to this partnership as a significant development that aligns with the vision of the 23-year-old institution and the policy direction of his administration. 

Sulaiman Olusegun, the Director of Operations at Lincoln College, underscored the importance of technology in today's world and its role in providing avenues for youth and technical development in computer-based sciences. He noted that the college offers postgraduate opportunities for students and staff of the Polytechnic through its transnational education policy, aiming to maximize potential and enrich capacity in various fields of study.

The meeting was attended by several notable staff members from both institutions, including the Polytechnic Registrar, Zamani Habu Ibrahim, Bursar Zainab Dalhatu, and Director of Information, Public Relations and Protocol, Mukhtar Wakeel.
