Mrs. Linda Chioma Njoku, wife of Imo State University Bursar Mr. Fidelis Njoku, was buried on August 16, 2024, in Eziala Obiangwu, Imo State. The funeral followed a mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Mr. Njoku honored his late wife for her devotion to family, faith, and career, highlighting her resilience through kidnapping and accidents.

The remains of Mrs. Linda Chioma Njoku, wife of Imo State University Bursar Mr. Fidelis Njoku, were laid to rest on Friday, August 16, 2024. The funeral took place at Mr. Njoku’s family compound in Eziala Obiangwu, Ngor-Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State, following a mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Obiangwu.

In a poignant tribute, Mr. Fidelis Njoku, visibly emotional, described his late wife as a loving and devoted partner and mother. He praised her for instilling strong moral values in their children and for her unwavering commitment to her family and career. He highlighted Mrs. Njoku’s academic achievements and her steadfast devotion to her faith as central aspects of her character.

Mr. Njoku recounted the remarkable resilience of his wife, who survived several life-threatening events, including a kidnapping in September 2016 and two serious car accidents in 2010 and 2023. He attributed her survival to divine intervention and her indomitable spirit.

Despite her significant contributions and the impact she made, Mr. Njoku lamented that Mrs. Njoku passed away suddenly on June 9, 2024, before she could fully enjoy the rewards of her efforts. The funeral was officiated by Most Reverend Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji, Catholic Bishop of Owerri Archdiocese, with numerous priests in attendance.

The ceremony was attended by the Vice-Chancellor of Imo State University, Professor Uchefula U. Chukwumaeze, SAN, FCArb, alongside university staff and other dignitaries, reflecting the high regard in which Mrs. Njoku was held.
