The management of the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu State has refuted allegations made against the Institution in a recent Publication by the vanguard.

"The Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu vehemently contests the allegations made in a recent Vanguard Newspaper article (dated August 6th, 2023), asserting that these claims are the result of mischief makers within the institute. 

 

IMT’s management refutes the accusations, characterising them as an attempt to tarnish both the institute and its leadership.

 

 The management rebuts the claims by highlighting the stringent staff appointment process, established protocols for addressing issues, and the proper use of land sale proceeds for infrastructure development. IMT underscores its unwavering commitment to transparency and dismisses the allegations as unfounded and malicious.

The institute acknowledges former Governor Rt. Hon Dr. Lawrence Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s contributions and urges responsible journalism while addressing inaccuracies in the article. 

 

In response to misleading allegations, IMT’s management clarifies various points, including the staff appointment process, Academic Board proceedings, cases of missing scripts, part-time appointments, NYSC call-up processes, and the utilization of land sale proceeds for infrastructure. 

 

They highlight their achievements under the former governor’s tenure and request prudent resolution rather than litigation. IMT calls for fairness in journalism and responsible reporting from Vanguard Newspaper."
