The Academic Board of Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic, Lafia, convened a solemn valedictory session on Friday to honor the late Doctor Jummai Silas Agara, a distinguished chief lecturer of the Department of Social Development, who passed away after a period of dedicated service to the institution.
Gathered at the Polytechnic's Board Room, esteemed members of the Academic Board paid heartfelt tributes and prayers in memory of Doctor Agara. Acting Rector, Doctor Nurudeen Mu'azu Maifata, presided over the session, describing the late lecturer as a paragon of dedication, humility, and hard work. He emphasized her significant contributions to the growth of the Polytechnic, acknowledging the irreplaceable void left by her demise. He concluded by praying for eternal peace for the departed soul and strength for both her family and the Polytechnic community in coping with the profound loss.

Representing the Acting Rector, Deputy Rector (Academic) Louis John Ogah conveyed sincere condolences to the bereaved family, echoing sentiments of loss felt deeply across the institution. Deputy Rector (Administration) Ahmad Jubrin Ibrahim lamented the passing of "a rare gem," emphasizing Doctor Agara's invaluable contributions to the Polytechnic.
The Registrar, Zamani Habu Ibrahim, highlighted Doctor Jummai's exemplary dedication and substantial impact on the institution's development, underscoring her legacy of service.
Former Acting Rector Michael Ibrahim delivered a poignant eulogy, reminiscing on shared moments of collaboration with the late Doctor Agara, recalling her as a beacon of resourcefulness and goodwill.
