Cherice Williams, a Jamaican immigrant, has defied the odds by building a million-dollar beauty brand, Blaq Luxury Hair Products, in just three years. Unlike typical beauty entrepreneurs, Cherice did not begin with a background in cosmetics or hairstyling. Arriving in the US from Jamaica in 2016 to pursue an accounting degree, she supported herself by working as a waitress. Cherice faced a personal challenge – her hair was affected by the hormonal disorder PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), leading her to seek a solution.
