Jigawa State Polytechnic Releases 2024/2025 Academic Calendar
Jigawa State Polytechnic has released its 2024/2025 academic calendar, detailing key activities for the session.

The Jigawa State Polytechnic, Central Administration Dutse, through its Academic Planning Directorate, has released the proposed academic calendar for the 2024/2025 session. The schedule outlines key academic activities, including registration, lectures, assessments, and examinations.
According to the academic calendar, the first and fifth-semester registration for both new and returning students will commence on Monday, March 24, 2025, and conclude on Sunday, April 30, 2025, spanning six weeks. Lectures for the first and fifth semesters are set to begin on Monday, April 7, 2025, and will run for twelve weeks, ending on Friday, June 27, 2025.
The institution has scheduled the matriculation ceremony and orientation for new students on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. A Sallah break for Eid-ul-Fitr has also been slated from Monday, March 31, to Sunday, April 20, 2025. Meanwhile, assessments for students will take place from Monday, June 2, to Wednesday, June 18, 2025, before the commencement of examinations.
The first, third, and fifth-semester examinations are scheduled to begin on Sunday, June 19, 2025, and will conclude on Sunday, July 20, 2025, lasting 19 days. Following this, students will go on a semester break from Monday, July 21, to Sunday, July 28, 2025.
Marking and uploading of examination results will occur from Monday, July 21, to Sunday, August 3, 2025. The Departmental Board of Examiners Meeting (DBEO) for reviewing examination results is set for Wednesday, August 4, to Friday, August 8, 2025, followed by the College Board of Examiners Meeting (BOE) from Monday, August 11, to Friday, August 15, 2025. Subsequently, the Academic Business Committee (ABC) will meet from Tuesday, August 18, to Friday, August 22, 2025. The Academic Board will convene on Wednesday, August 26, 2025, to consider the first-semester results and other academic matters.
The second and sixth-semester lectures will commence on Monday, July 28, 2025, and run until Saturday, October 18, 2025, spanning 12 weeks. Entrepreneurial skills acquisition and continuous assessments are scheduled from Saturday, October 4, to Friday, October 13, 2025.
