Kaduna State University Hosts First International Interdisciplinary Research Conference 2024

Kaduna State University (KASU) successfully hosted its inaugural International Interdisciplinary Research Conference on Monday, 2nd December 2024. Themed "Innovative Research: Shaping the Future through Innovations and Collaborations," the conference brought together scholars, practitioners, and students to address key challenges in academia.

The conference opened with a welcome address by Chairman Prof. Bala Dogo, urging participants to engage actively in the event. KASU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa, praised the organizers and participants, emphasizing the significance of innovative research in shaping the future and societal progress.

Emeritus Professor John Ayotunde (Tunde) Isola Bewaji, the keynote speaker, highlighted the importance of research in preserving Africa's cultural identity and advocated for the inclusion of indigenous-related courses in academia. 

Dr. Muhammad Awwal Ladan, the lead paper presenter, discussed the implications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on academic integrity and research quality, noting both its potential benefits and challenges in education and research.

The conference concluded with a vote of thanks from the Local Organizing Committee Chairman, Dr. Hadiza Talatu Mohammed, reaffirming KASU's dedication to advancing research and innovation in academia.
